Dear Applicants!
We are pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Nurlan Kapparov Grant Competition. The competition is held annually for applicants who choose undergraduate programs at Almaty Technological University (ATU).
The Nurlan Kapparov Grant provides 100% tuition coverage for one (1) academic year.
Eligibility:
Applicants who have taken the Unified National Test (UNT) in 2023 and scored 50 points or higher are eligible.
The educational grant named after Nurlan Kapparov was established in 2020 through the initiative of philanthropist Gauhar Kapparova (@gauharakap) and the ATU Endowment Fund (@endowmentfund.atu).
Nurlan Kapparov, a graduate of Almaty Technological University, was a Kazakh statesman and businessman who was deeply committed to youth and education issues.
Conditions for Participation:
- Video Submission
Participants must post a video on their Instagram account, up to 59 seconds in length, on the topic:
"My Perspective and Vision for the Development of Volunteerism in My Region"
The video can be in either Russian or Kazakh.
Video Requirements:
- Length: up to 59 seconds.
- A text description of at least 300 characters (total letters and symbols) in Russian or Kazakh must accompany the video.
- Musical accompaniment must comply with copyright regulations.
- The Instagram post must include the video, description, the ATU account tag (@atu_media), and the hashtag #grantatu.
Additionally, the video must be submitted in electronic format to the email endowment@atu.edu.kz by August 20, 2023.
Required Documents:
The submission must include:
- A copy of the UNT certificate.
- A copy of the high school diploma or a diploma of technical and vocational education.
Evaluation and Results:
The results of the competition, based on the videos submitted and posted on participants' accounts, will be announced by the expert committee by August 25, 2023.
