We are pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Nurlan Kapparov Grant Competition. This annual competition is open to applicants who have chosen bachelor's degree programs at Almaty Technological University (ATU).
Grant Coverage:
The Nurlan Kapparov Grant offers 100% coverage of tuition fees for one (1) academic year.
Eligibility:
Applicants who passed the Unified National Testing (UNT) in 2022 with a score of 50 points or higher.
Background of the Grant:
The Nurlan Kapparov Grant was established in 2020 through the initiative of philanthropist Gauhar Kapparova and the ATU Endowment Fund.
About Nurlan Kapparov:
Nurlan Kapparov, an alumnus of ATU, was a distinguished Kazakh statesman and entrepreneur who dedicated significant attention to youth development and education.
Grant Competition Requirements:
👉 Environmental Video Submission
Participants are required to publish a video on their Instagram account. The video should address topics such as energy and resource conservation or the environmental impact of waste. It must present a socially valuable and relevant idea, as well as solutions to the highlighted problem. The video can be in Kazakh or Russian.
Video Requirements:
- Duration: up to 3 minutes.
- Text description: at least 300 characters (letters and symbols included) in Kazakh or Russian.
- Music: must comply with copyright laws.
- Instagram post: publish the video along with its description, tagging @atu_media and @endowmentfund.atu. Include hashtags: #endowmentfundatu, #grantatu, #ecoatu.
Submission Details:
In addition to the Instagram post, participants must submit their video electronically to endowment@atu.edu.kz by August 15, 2022.
The email submission must also include:
- A copy of the UNT certificate.
- A copy of the high school diploma or diploma of technical and vocational education.
Selection Results:
The winners will be determined by an expert panel based on the submitted videos and will be announced by August 25, 2022.
